ERE Recruiting Intelligence featured an article by Labor & Employment chair Laurent Drogin that explores New York City’s new law that prohibits employers from inquiring about the salary of applicants. The article provides NYC employers with helpful information on what they can and cannot do under the new regulations and what they should do now to prepare themselves under the new regulations. Laurent notes that the NYC Human Rights Law applies to and protects employees who work within the five boroughs. For out-of-state employers, only those employees within New York City are covered by the law. Read more.
