Leading mid-size, full-service law firm Tarter Krinsky & Drogin is pleased to announce the promotions of four lawyers, three to partner and one to counsel.
"We are pleased to welcome such an accomplished and talented group of lawyers as partners and counsel," said Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Managing Partner Alan Tarter. "During their time at the firm, Brian, Scott, Jing and John have each demonstrated excellence, integrity, teamwork and an unwavering commitment to our clients, their colleagues and the firm. Our new partners represent together the very best of TKD. I’m confident that each of them will greatly contribute to the firm, its clients and the profession for many years to come.”
The firm’s new partners and counsel are:
- Brian Beller (Real Estate) has extensive experience advising owners, developers, operators and lenders on a wide range of complex real estate matters involving the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial property, with an emphasis on office, retail and restaurant leasing transactions both in New York City and nationally. In addition to real estate matters, Brian’s clients also routinely seek his advice as outside general counsel for their various ongoing business needs.
- Scott Schneider (Real Estate) represents commercial landlords and tenants in office, retail and restaurant leasing, as well as industrial and warehouse leasing. Landlords come to Scott for assistance in developing and implementing Class-A office leasing programs and related asset management functions, such as drafting and negotiating consents, brokerage agreements, construction contracts and service agreements. Scott assists enterprise tenants in executing their national leasing programs, and middle market firms, entrepreneurs and professionals in individual leases, subleases and license agreements. He also represents real estate entrepreneurs, investors and developers in other commercial real estate and related corporate matters, including acquisitions and sales, and construction and financing.
- Dr. Jing Xia (Intellectual Property), co-chair of the Pharmaceutical and Biologics Practice and China Practice, represents major pharmaceutical companies, especially litigations arising under the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act (Hatch Waxman). She regularly advises clients on abbreviated new drug application filings (ANDAs) and paragraph IV (PIV) litigations, helping generic companies successfully navigate through these complex regulations. She also advises clients on the procurement, management and licensing of intellectual property assets, and oversees due diligence in mergers and asset purchases.
- John Rondello (Construction) represents contractors, owners, developers, architects, designers and engineers in construction projects of varying scopes and at all stages in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the United States. He drafts and negotiates construction contracts and agreements of various types, including owner-architect, owner-contractor, indemnification, termination, confidentiality, copyright transfer and lender assignment agreements. As a litigator, John has represented clients in claims involving breach of contract and construction disputes, as well as in the defense of design professional malpractice claims, property damage actions and New York mechanic’s lien claims.
These promotions follow a dynamic period of growth for Tarter Krinsky & Drogin as the firm continues to expand in practice areas important to its clients. Noteworthy additions include partners Michael Grudberg (White Collar and Government Investigations) and Charles Miller (Securities and Financial Services Litigation); and counsel Michael Brownstein (Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring) and Jeffrey Lowin (Trusts and Estates).
