Cooperative and Condominium chair and partner Steve Troup was featured in a Q&A in The Cooperator where a tenant asked whether a shareholder, who is not a licensed and insured contractor, to perform gutter and minor roof repairs. In his response, Steve addressed whether the contractor needs to hold a home improvement license, whether the contractor should be insured and if it is a good idea to have a shareholder perform work on common areas of the building or inside apartments.
