We have been recognizing the achievements of the exceptional women of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin in honor of Women’s History Month. They bring tremendous value to our firm, our clients, our profession and our community. In this installment, learn more about Construction partner Laurie Stanziale.
What do you like most about your work?
I love working in construction because of the tangible nature of the end project. Living and working in NYC, I walk by and go into many of the finished buildings, and it is rewarding to know that I took part in their creation. They say, 'if these walls could talk,' I certainly know stories behind the walls of some NYC buildings.
What do you wish you could tell your younger self?
I wish I had focused on networking and building professional relationships sooner in my career. I am pleased to see how many younger women are out there building their brand at an early age.
How do you achieve a work-life balance?
You have to know when to put your phone down.
What does Women’s History Month mean to you?
I think it is a wonderful celebration of women, but I don’t think we need a month. We should be celebrating the contributions of women every day. I would like our focus to be on being the best at what we do and not being the best “women” at what we do.
What do you enjoy most about working at TKD?
That we do exciting and innovative things like this Women’s History Month series!!
