Alex Spizz Featured in Law360 and Haaretz on Ampal-American Israel Corp. Bankruptcy Matter

Bankruptcy co-chair Alex Spizz was featured in “Tribunal Orders Egypt To Pay $1B In Gas Supply Row” in Law360 and “Arbitrator: EMG Due $1.03b From Egypt Over Canceled Gas Contract” by Haaretz, a leading Israeli newspaper. The articles address the arbitration that ordered Egypt to pay $1.03 billion plus interest to East Mediterranean Gas (EMG). Alex Spizz is the Chapter 7 trustee for Ampal-American Israel Corp., a company that owns part of EMG. Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, LLP represents Alex as the Chapter 7 trustee. Alex was quoted in Haaretz regarding next steps stating, “The next step after the establishment of the CERCICA in Cairo will be a similar ruling on compensation by other arbitration tribunals, which have previously ruled in favor of EMG.”
