On December 4, Charles Miller, Litigation partner and co-chair of the firm’s Securities and Financial Services Litigation Group, will present a CLE program to the New York Women’s Bar Association titled, “Individual Liability for Corporate Wrongdoing: How Thick is the Corporate Veil?”
During the presentation, Charles will provide a step-by-step guide to understanding the threat of individual liability for corporate acts under New York law. He will also discuss the nature and scope of “veil piercing” and “alter ego” liability, using recent New York case law to provide concrete examples of conduct that will and will not subject an individual to liability for corporate acts. This program will provide 1.5 CLE credits in the Professional Practice category.
